Margaurita Spear (she/her) is honored to represent MAEA as the Professional Development Committee Chair. She has been leading workshops and trainings with MAEA for several years while also working as an art educator in schools on the North Shore and most recently as a museum educator at the Wenham Museum.

Margaurita is proud to be a contributing writer for the new Foundational Skills Progressions in the Arts, a supplement to the Massachusetts Art Curriculum Frameworks. Her objective for this work is to provide curriculum support for art educators across the state and to help shape the future of visual arts learning.

Margaurita received her BFA and art educator training from Montserrat College of Art.
