About me
Born and raised in Brockton, Massachusetts, Katyann Sullivan’s passion for the arts was ignited early on. Growing up in a vibrant and diverse community, she was inspired by the creative expression and cultural richness around her. From a young age, Katyann knew the transformative power of the arts and how it could serve as a vital tool for self-expression and connection—especially for those in underserved communities.
Her artistic journey continued at Bridgewater State University, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in photography. While studying, Katyann worked as a studio assistant at South Shore Pottery Shop, where she designed and led art programs for both children and adults, further deepening her passion for teaching and sharing art with others.
In 2016, Katyann became the Director of Fine Arts & Media at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester. Through her leadership, she has shaped innovative art programs that empower thousands of urban youth, making art accessible to those who may not have had opportunities to explore their creativity. Her commitment to creating inclusive, engaging arts experiences stems from her belief that every child, regardless of background, deserves the chance to express themselves and thrive through the arts.
Katyann’s personal passion for makeup and beauty led her to found Face by Katyann Makeup Artistry in 2008, where she offers luxury bridal makeup services across New England. With a background in both fine and performing arts, she blends her artistic expertise with a love for timeless elegance.
Her collaborations with institutions like the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, have allowed her to expand her reach, pioneering community arts initiatives that bridge the gap between professional artists and young, aspiring creators from underserved communities. Through all her ventures, Katyann is driven by a mission to make the arts accessible, meaningful, and transformative for all.
